Personally I found that I was having a lot of trouble with adrenaline generation in high level dungeons contributing to a huge lack of DPS because mobs just didn't stick around long enough and we didn't pull quick enough to keep a steady flow of adrenaline incoming. As such, I started using a build similar to the one below:
[build prof=W/Any Name="W/Any Axe" box AxeMastery=12+1+1 Strength=12+1][Eviscerate][Executioner's Strike][Power Attack][Cyclone Axe][Flail][Enraging Charge][Lion's Comfort][Endure Pain][/Build]
The last 4 are up to yourself, they should be an IAS, a cancel stance, and 2 additional support skills. Personally the above has worked in most circumstances, so I rarely change.
I actively use 4 different axes (for high end content PvE)
Sunder / Fort - Zealous / Fort - Vampiric / Fort - Furious / Fort
I use your typical -5/20% +30 str shield (rarely switch, rarely provided with reason to).
I took this into DoA / UW / FoW all recently and noticed my PvE damage output drastically increased because Power Attack functions as an Executioner's Strike between your adrenaline rotations and cyclone axe works well for furious / vampiric / zealous axes and adrenaline generation. Endure Pain is a *great* save when heavy spikes happen often and Lion's Comfort is personally my favorite heal when it comes down to self-heals.
